Digital content broke the old paradigm. Too much syncing to keep everything current across all devices.

Cloud syncs over the air to all of your devices. Way more than just a hard disk in the sky.

You might ask: why should I believe them, they're the ones who brought me MobileMe? (Laughter)

Contacts, iCal, and Mail have been thrown out and re-written to be iCloud apps.

Hmm. Don't suppose they'll partially refund those of us who have paid $99 for the year?

Backup. To the cloud, as well as wirelessly to your PC. Once a day, your "important" contents. Buy a new phone, all your old stuff restores to your new phone. To cloud OVER WiFi. No 3G, I guess which makes sense.

3 more cloud apps.

Documents in the cloud. Create something in Pages, it goes to the cloud and syncs to all of your devices with Pages on them. Same for Numbers and Keynote. Already built in.

*Finally,* a decent way to move documents off an iPad.

So the whole keynote is a gigantic fuck-you to Google Apps, huh? Between the cloud syncing and the Twitter integration, the message is pretty clear.

The Cloud seems to be an iOS thing... no talk of backing up your Mac to the cloud.
