What a journey.
Cornfused.

Both companies are profitable — but Amazon is much less so, which drives Apple investors crazy. Even as Wall Street has been rewarding Amazon for finally breaking into the black, it has been pummeling Apple.

Drives APPLE investors crazy????

I read that to mean that Amazon making LESS PROFIT drives AAPL crazy. I GUESS they mean that even though Amazon sucks more, it is getting better share price treatment. But I hate the way they worded it.

The Kindle (or something similar) could be useful for education. Can you cut & paste?

There are rumors that a larger screen Kindle for education may be in the works. I have no clue as to how reliable the rumors are, but I saw them in the same places that accurately predicted the Kindle 2.

I just figured it out. Our economic problems are all tied directly to Steve.

Think about it. They keep saying how everything is getting worse now because the country is losing Jobs. The government is spending $800 billion to address the problem with the bulk of it aimed at saving Jobs.

Now I'm convinced that he wasn't being truthful about his health. I mean, a simple protein absorption problem isn't going to take hundreds of billions of dollars to deal with.

It's the Old Religion. The king protects his people. The king's health is failing, and his people are afflicted. We need our king to return to health, or be ritually sacrificed to cleanse the land and allow a new king to ascend. Burning Man would be a great place for the sacrifice, and very traditional. The sacrifice should be voluntary, though, or it won't work. I gotta e-mail Steve... and find a druid.

In America, the only respectable form of socialism is socialism for the rich.

Maybe better in the Happy Thread, but the markets haven't closed yet. AAPL is over $100/share again.

Reported as fact, by the Wall Street Journal: Steve Jobs had a liver transplant. Terrible thing to go through, but I suppose it beats the alternative. Stay strong, Mr. Jobs.
