Quote
El Jeffe
Just watched Monoprice's video on their new 30" LCD display.
But they also mention their 27" 2560x1440 display. $390. This has my attention. I have been wanting something with more than the common '1080p' resolution.

http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=113&cp_id=11307&cs_id=1130703&p_id=9579&seq=1&format=4#feedback

NewEgg's cheapest at that resolution is $640. http://bit.ly/10fVlsc
Any opinions on this monoprice item? I have low-resolution (color clarity) eyes, so perfect color snob I am not. But I want larger screen and real estate.

New email shows they have yet another offering in this 27" space. Priced a bit higher.

I'll second the call for Henckel's as a good value knife, something like this:
You missed the low-hanging fruit... it's SHOULD BE...."these knives just aren't CUTTING it!"

I
don't
KNOW
you
!

:)

We actually bought some better/sharper knives... unintended consequence is we're now afraid to use them. Freakishly sharp. Seriously, I almost won't even touch them. Our old knives one could perhaps accidentally brush up against the cutting edge and have brain-time to process "sharp...back away...." but NOT THESE KNIVES... they cut when touched. ( I have the world's softest skin and everything cuts me, though. Some reason I don't callous, even when I worked in a factory and worked-out heavily)

Cutting is what incisors are for, you Darwin followers !

Bought a new printer as my 8 year old Canon ip3000 (which I loved; cheap cheap generic ink!) finally died.
I thought I could save it.
Well, Wal-Mart had the cheapest price believe it or not on the MG-5320, which also has affordable/generic ink available. $89. Yeah, Frys has the newer one, but different ink.
Anywaaaaaaaays....

Just registered the printer at USA Canon and got a coupon from 50% off printer paper. Oh, if you want it, it's "...P130401 during checkout. Click here http://shop.usa.canon.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/PromoDesc_10051_10051_-1?WT.mc_id=C130284 to visit the Canon Online Store today!" See if YOU can find paper that will actually USE the code... I could NOT. And Canon puts salestax in there. ?????

So, they do offer/give you TWO for one without the code. I was curious, as I always am, how affordable that is compared to general prices. Well, ADORAMA has the Canon 4x6 paper GP-502 for the by far cheapest I could find of $7.29 DELIVERED. So, if you're in the market for this or as a gift, that's pretty reasonable. I don't usually/ever shop for photo paper. I just send it to Wal-Mart, snappish, et al....

I have that pick set from them, too. I think that was the first thing I ever ordered from them.

I didn't really have a problem with their relatively slow shipping before but this time the extended delay and their unresponsiveness has me really irritated. I waited until 11 business days had passed before contacting them to ask for an update. They responded two days later saying that there was a "minor delay" and that it would ship in 3 to 5 more business days. Another week passed and it still didn't ship so I contacted them again. That was 3 days ago and they've yet to respond to me. They haven't responded to the PayPal dispute I filed yesterday either.
